Let me extend a very warm welcome to you all to the Jaffna Central College Old Boys and Girls Association (U.K) branch website. This is our new and professionally designed website and would appreciate constructive comments from all who visits the website. |

We have clarified our aims and objectives in our written constitution of the association. In this regard our association is currently committed to the following worthy projects that support the students and the community in Jaffna. |

| 1) |
Scholarship - Continue to support a Scholarship Program for 11 deserving Advanced Level students. This program is in its tenth year and is being managed by Colombo OBA on our behalf. |

2) |
IDP Children - The association is closely working with the college principal to give financial support for 26 badly affected IDP children who lost at least one member of their family in the last year's devastating war and are now admitted to Jaffna Central College, |

School Bus - Following a request from the college principal we have now reactivated the School Bus Project and started collecting funds to achieve it. |

We also support any other ad-hoc project requests from the college depending on its merit. For the current cricket season we have made funds available to purchase cricket equipment for the college. |
|
As one would appreciate, in order to achieve our aims and objectives the association needs the full support from our members and well wishers. To sustain the association’s activities both human and financial resources are crucial. We urge all Old Centralite’s and former members of staff to help us in this regard by becoming active members of our association.
