It is with regret that we inform you that Mr. Kasivisvanathan Karthigasoo (Mr. Kasi), husband of late Mrs. Kumaraselvy, father of Chelva Kumar (Jeyan), father in law of Latha and grandfather of Gayathri and Meenadchi passed away yesterday evening at Chelva’s(son) residence in Morgan Hill.
 
Mr. Kasi was a teacher of English and mathematics at Jaffna Hindu College, Jaffna Central College and Amenia School, Maldives. He lived in Toronto during the 80’s and 90’s before joining his son in California. Both Mr & Mrs Kasi starred in the Canadian Film Board production Welcome to Canada and worked as immigration consultants in Toronto and Montreal.
